Why you should upgrade your Office Software

Many of us now own a computing device of some sort to create documents, spreadsheets, etc. Most will have Microsoft Office software to help with these creations. An extension to this software is Microsoft Outlook, which is an email program that help you manage your mail coming in and going out and your calendar. 

How many of you are still using your old computer? How many of you are still using the software that came on that computer? 

Well let me tell you, you are missing out on some of the fantastic benefits by not upgrading to the new Microsoft Software. I know some of you will be like, “but I have to pay for annual renewal”. Yes Microsoft have changed the way they sell their licensing but they have also added extra features and benefits for their users, some of these are: 

• You can sign into your Office account on other devices and use the programs

• You can easily share your created documents/spreadsheets/presentations/etc 

• You have access to your files saved from any device anywhere at any time in the world 

• You have built-in backup feature to your new OneDrive account 

• You have a Skype account to keep you in touch with family and friends 

• Your email is easily managed, and you can create folders for ease of finding things 

• You get current features and support from Microsoft 

So, as you can see by upgrading to new software you receive greater benefits to make it easier for you to manage your data in the long run. 

Humans don’t like change, we tend to fear it but it is actually good for us to continually learn new things. Our brains will adjust and if you need extra help you can contact either Mt Barker Community Centre or The Hut Community Centre who offer free or discounted training. 

So don’t be afraid to upgrade to the latest software, you won’t look back when you do 😊
